Garden Valley Bible Church believes that the purpose of Sunday School is to assist parents in the spiritual training of their children. Our focus is teaching children about God’s good and perfect nature and character, about man’s broken and fallen nature, and about the hope we have because of Christ’s work on the cross, and the help of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life.
We teach these truths by the use of the DiscipleLand curriculum. DiscipleLand partners with parents and teachers to build lifelong disciples who:
• Know God intimately. They develop a reservoir of knowledge based on a Biblical worldview.
• Love God passionately. They display Christ-like character in every area of life.
• Serve God selflessly. They demonstrate faithful conduct that honors God and helps people.
Below is a brief overview of DiscipleLand:
- Toddlers (ages 1-3)
Toddlers will be introduced to God as the Creator to teach them that God made everything and that everything God made is good.
- Preschool (ages 3-5)
Preschool launches children ages 3-5 to begin walking with God. Preschoolers establish a solid foundation through 200 different Bible stories.
- Kindergarten (ages 5-6)
Kindergarten inspires kids ages 5-6 to follow amazing Bible heroes. Children grasp God’s plan and purpose as they overview the entire Bible.
- Elementary (grades 1-6)
Core Bible challenges children in grades 1-6 to become victorious disciples. Kids are equipped for Christian service through 24 quarters of sequential Bible curriculum.
